Popular and controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has allegedly surrendered to the police, days after being declared wanted.
Portable voluntarily turned himself in at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, earlier today.
He is currently being transferred to Ogun State, where he will be handed over to the police authorities.
The singer was declared wanted on Monday, February 17, 2025, over allegations of assaulting three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office.
In a dramatic turn, Portable had on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, claimed that he was receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta.
In a plea for leniency, he described himself as a “madman” undergoing medical care while appealing to Nigerians and the Ogun State Government for understanding.
