The conflict in Israel and Gaza has affected the Euro 2024 qualifier between Kosovo and Israel, which was supposed to take place on Sunday.

The Union of European Football Associations, which oversees European football, said on Thursday that the match had been delayed because Israel’s national team was not allowed to travel abroad by their authorities.

Israeli authorities currently do not allow their national team to travel abroad,” UEFA said in a statement.

UEFA added that they would announce a new date for the match later.

UEFA had already moved “all matches scheduled” in Israel “in the next couple of weeks” to a later date on Sunday after Hamas launched a surprise attack.

Israel’s match against Switzerland, planned for this Thursday, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 15, but the location is still undecided.

Some other matches involving Israel have also been postponed by UEFA, including the European Under-21 Championship matches and an Under-17 mini-tournament.
