To some, a viral post could spell doom, while to others like Dele seen in Ondo town using the light at the ATM to do her homework and Success seen in a viral video ranting over unpaid school fees, it has brought them fortunes.
Ever heard of holding an election to decide who becomes the love partner of a lady? Well, a community in Bauchi state Nigeria just set a new record.
A Twitter user Mubarak Umar shared the hilarious story on Valentine’s Day.
According to him, the lady identified as Khadija fell in love with two young men and was confused about whom to choose between the duo.
Probably in an attempt to avoid a clash of interest or violent clash that may arise over their battle for the heart of Khadija, elders in the community organised an election to decide who would become the lady’s partner and a winner eventually emerged.
From photos shared on social media, it is clear that the election witnessed a large turn out of voters – old and young members of the community.
Umar tweeted:
“Khadija has fallen in love with 2 boys but couldn’t chose 1 between them; none of the boys also ready to accept defeat. The elders of Giade town, Bauchi State (with Khadija’s request) conducted an election and Inusa scored highest number of votes, against his rival, Ibrahim.”
