Nigerian comedian and actor, Toyin Baiyegun, popularly known as Woli Arole, has revealed the “only assurance of marital sanity.”

Speaking to his followers on Twitter on Sunday, the ‘The Call’ actor had a piece of advice for women on essential marital commitments but added that they are not enough to keep a marriage stable.

Arole revealed that food and sex will fall short in marriage adding that a nice and well-behaved wife would still be cheated on by a man bound to engage in extramarital affairs.

In the tweet to his 46.2k followers, Arole stated that the only assurance of sanity in a marriage is the Almighty God.

He said, “Food and Sex is not enough to keep a MAN in a marriage, see you can be the nicest woman in the world, and Oga will still be misbehaving, you can shower all the respects in the world, Oga go this do nonsense. The only assurance of marital sanity is GOD!!!!!”

Reacting to the tweet, a follower, @calldemy4u argued that the survival of marriage lies with the couples and not God.

“God will only give wisdom to direct couples. The survival of that marriage lies in the hands of the couples, and when they play their parts well, the marriage will succeed. It’s not God that would teach people how to behave well, but people must work out their salvation,” he said.

Another follower, @lekensing007 also disagreed with the comedian’s opinion, adding that the couples obedience to God’s instruction is important.

“If God have always been the final determinant of every decision in our lives, we shouldn’t be afraid in our home or about settling down despite all the virtues a woman/man must possess… obedience attracts His attention to our needs,” @lekensing007 opined.

The comedian finally got a supporter in @youaremore__ who said, “Thank you & a man who wants to be kept who totally understands marriage is total commitment to a woman&vice versa…like why marry if you can’t be committed to one woman, why??”
