Popular comedian Mc Mbakara, whose real name is Aya Kanu, has offered automatic employment to Nigerian content creator Nkese Eyo after she accused TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, also known as Peller, of exploitation.
Mc Mbakara shared a video on his social media where he sympathised with Nkese over her experience. He said, “Now this girl Nkese Eyo, I just want to tell you that I feel your pain. Actually, I just want to tell you and the general public that the game is that they look at Calabar, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom people as minorities, like they will look at people wey get people. I am giving you automatic employment. Contact me immediately as soon as you watch this video. Let me make it popular and let the world know you and your music, anything you dey do.”
He also urged Peller to apologise not only to Nkese but to others who attended the interview.

The controversy began when Nkese Eyo attended a job interview Peller organised for a cameraman role with a promised salary of ₦500,000 monthly.
However, Nkese claimed in a post on X that the event was not a genuine job interview but a content recording session. She wrote, “I went for Peller’s job opening with the intention to work, pitch myself, and grow. But instead, I was used for content. No actual job.
No follow-up. Just part of another episode. And honestly? That’s unfair. I’m not against content creation. I am a content creator myself.”
Nkese also said Peller made derogatory comments about her tribe and body. In a video, she said, “He asked me about my tribe and said Efik is not a tribe. He also made jokes about my body, saying I’m big and could beat him. That was unnecessary.”

The incident sparked criticism online, with many Nigerians calling Peller’s action exploitative and disrespectful, especially in a country battling high unemployment.
Peller later defended himself in an Instagram video, stating that two candidates were picked from the 20 who showed up. He said, “Among the 20 people that came yesterday, we picked two persons. ₦500,000 naira monthly salary. I’m paying them before they start this month.”
He added, “We did a live stream. Everybody saw what we were doing. I was literally joking with you, and you picked only that part. I said I don’t know the tribe.”
Peller also questioned the outrage, saying, “Everybody is now pouring anger on me, as if I am the one that said the economy should be hard. What have I done wrong? When I asked for a Master’s degree, did I tie anybody from their house?”
