COLD BLOOD! Client allegedly murders prostitute in Borno

The Borno State police are investigating the death of a commercial sex worker, Miss. Precious Nety, who was reportedly killed in a hotel by her client.

The incident happened on Wednesday in Maiduguri, Borno State.

A hotel proprietor in the area told newsmen that the late Nety lodged the client in her room but the next morning they neither saw Nety nor her client. They also discovered that her room was locked from outside.

The neighbours became suspicious after trying unsuccessfully to locate her. They broke the door and saw her lifeless body in the toilet with her throat slit and knife scars on her hands.

The unknown client also fled with the late Nety’s Plasma Television and other valuables.

After the incident, two other hotels in the area including the Galaxy hotel where the incident occurred is under lock by the police.

The proprietor said this has led to serious tension in the area which has equally affected patronage, as people are keeping off to avoid arrest.

Confirming the incident, the Borno state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edet Okon, said the case was reported to the Command.

“Two arrests have been made. We acted on the information received and investigation is ongoing.

“We are in the process of arresting more people and investigation is ongoing, DSP Okon said.”
