CNN journalist tells Olunloyo to prove she worked with CNN for 20 years
Cable News Network journalist, Stephanie Busari, has urged controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, to show proof that she worked with CNN for 20 years as she had earlier claimed in a tweet.
Busari whose Twitter profile reads “Lead CNN Multiplatform Nigeria/W. Africa bureau “was replying to a tweet by Olunloyo which says;
“Some of these fools following me have no idea I spent 20 years @cnn in 5 different capacities. They don’t even know that the CNN they watch here is not exact same as CNN USA.”
Replying to her tweet, Steph said “I have not seen any evidence of this work for CNN beyond a few rambling interviews for some of the shows in 2009. Please enlighten me @HNNAfrica on your 20-year history with CNN.”

In a bid to defend her claims, Olunloyo called out the CNN journalist adding that she worked as a CNN contributor before the latter joined the international media outfit.
She also said ignorance does not excuse Stephanie’s “stupidity”.
” Steph ignorance does not excuse stupidity. I started @cnn as a contributor in 1994 way before your time. Research: “a few rambling interviews for some shows in 2009” is why @realDonaldTrump has downgraded the network to #fakenews. Typical Nigerian ignorance. STOP! C, Olulonyo wrote.
However, Olulonyo’s tweets have since garnered diverse reaction with many lambasting the controversial journalist.
Many Twitter users also described Olunloyo with derogatory words while one @gyonlineng said “Just passing by, but please leave our aunty alone. Yes you heard me right, our dear wannabe Ibadan Christian Amanpour that works for CNN for 20Years. Payola Investigative Journalist.”

You said in your previous tweet that you spent 20 years at CNN in five different capacities. What were they and when? Interviews with an anchor doesn’t = working at CNN. It may be before my time but a 20 year history should yield more than 3 Google results all on the same topic.

It’s like claiming you attended Harvard and Yale only to realize you went for 2 different 1 week seminars over the course of 20 years. Name dropping without shame. These places have records you know. Still waiting for the response… Let’s know your hIsToRy. ? pic.twitter.com/AdqRCfyvZn

The day you people stop even acknowledging this woman..that day you start a path to her treatment…

That’s why I loved the way the Dakolo’s chose to respond to her in all these:-SILENCE! As if she never existed. They have chosen not to validate her stupidity.

Who let this woman out of prison, who unleashed this misery back into the society…

Exactly. And she is wreaking havoc just because she has not gotten the help she needs.

Someone that went on TVC and for every single question asked her , she kept saying “ People don’t know but … In Journalism, …as a Journalist “. Sounding like someone looking for validation. Complete bollocks.
