A nursery and primary school teacher is presently assisting the Benue State Police Command in their investigation after it was alleged that he sexually assaulted three of his pupils.
The incident reportedly happened at Divinity Care Nursey and Primary School, Makurdi.
WuzupNaija gathered that the suspect, Daniel Onuche, had attempted three times to have carnal knowledge of one eight-year-old pupil [name withheld] at the back of a classroom in the school.

It was further gathered that Onuche had attempted penetration but was careful not to forcefully penetrate the child so as not to leave her with bruises.
Onuche, who is currently being detained at the B-Division police station in Makurdi, reportedly admitted to attempting to penetrate the Peace.
He further admitted to sexually assaulting two other minors, who are pupils of the school.
Activist Ukan Kurugh, who posted the incident on his Facebook timeline, said Onuche will be transferred to the State Police Headquarters in Makurdi.

Sequel to my update about incidence of child molestation/rape in a primary school in Makurdi Benue State, I present my investigations.
A young man presumably in his mid twenties and an indigene of Kogi State by name Onuche Daniel has confessed before the cameras to police (video below), that he have sexually assaulted an 8 year old minor Peace 3 times and indecently assaulted two other minors Angbiandoo and Mimidoo.
On how it all happened. Mr. Onuche who is a Teacher with Divinity Care Nursey and Primary School at behind Lake Chad Hotel kanshio axis of Makurdi the Benue State capital in October, in the class room when the class was empty, having made the little girl stay back, took down his trousers and had canal knowledge of her and in November too, has twice met the girl in the toilet and attempted penetration. He has been taking his time so that the loss of virginity would occur without pain.
When this was known and the Aunt and another concerned mother who is a staff of Makurdi local government known for championing child rights took little Peace to the Federal Medical Centre for examination, it was revealed that, there were bruises that indicated penetration but that, the hymen was not yet broken. The randy suspect must have been taking his time so as not to cause much pain on the girl and not to be noticed.

In another development, Mr. Onuche who is now cooling his heels at the B-Division police station and who will be transferred to State Police Headquarters in Makurdi has also confessed to indecently assaulting two other pupils whom he teaches at the school. The pupils identified as Angbiandoo and Mimidoo are said to have been indecently touched by Mr. Onuche who would hold them by the buttocks and breasts or touch other sensitive parts of their bodies for whatever fun he gets from doing so.
His ordeals subsequently became a talk among the pupils and finally got to the ears of the proprietress of the school who questioned the children but for fear, they refused to open up and rather said it was untrue and were spanked by the proprietress for falsehood against their teacher. The proprietress too was also arrested but granted bail yesterday evening according to my source.
The Child Rights Activist who contacted me on the case and who would not be named said when she got to know of the case and made efforts to take steps through the Child Rights Implementation committee in Makurdi Local Government, it was revealed that, a foundation known as Jirehdoo had taken up the issue.
Chairperson of the Benue State Federation of Women lawyers (FIDA) Dr. Mrs Magdalyne Dura has also been briefed on the matter and has shown interest in same.
While we condemn this abominable act and have resolved to take conscious steps to bring the perpetrator to book, we have become worrisome of the standard of Divinity Care Nursery and Primary School Kanshio and hereby call on the State Ministry of Education to probe into the veracity of whether or not, it is a good place of study hence it has failed to guarantee the moral safety of it’s pupils.
