The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has cautioned Nigerians to ignore fake recruitment messages being shared online as the 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise enters its next stage.
In a post on its official X handle late Wednesday, the board said it would not contact applicants through email or text messages. It explained that all official information about the exercise would be released only through its verified recruitment portal.
“CDCFIB will not send emails or SMS to applicants. Visit our portal, and once shortlisted, update your profile to print your examination slip. Follow the instructions carefully. Beware of scammers,” the board stated.
The warning followed the release of names of candidates shortlisted for the upcoming computer-based test for recruitment into the paramilitary agencies.
In a separate statement, the Secretary to the Board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, urged applicants to visit the official recruitment portal at [https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng) from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm their shortlisting status and check their test centres.
“Shortlisted candidates are requested to take note of the venue, date, and time scheduled for the CBT,” Jubril added.
The board further advised applicants to use only the official portal and ignore any unofficial websites or agents claiming to represent the board.
The ongoing recruitment covers the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
