The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has assured Nigerians that their resilience and sacrifices are recognized, while extending Christmas and New Year greetings.
In a statement on Friday, Yilwatda said the festive season offers an opportunity for reflection and renewed hope for the nation.
“On behalf of the National Working Committee of our great party, I extend warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year to all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora,” he said.
He praised APC governors, including the chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, members of the National Assembly, and party executives for their dedication, as well as party members across the country for their loyalty and commitment to democratic governance.
According to the chairman, Christmas remains a season of hope and renewal, allowing Nigerians to reflect on shared values and collective aspirations.
“Christmas calls on us to renew our faith in the promise of Nigeria and look ahead with optimism and confidence in a brighter future,” he said.
Yilwatda also reaffirmed the APC’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, highlighting that the Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes economic recovery, social inclusion, and sustainable development.
“Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the APC-led administration is firmly guided by the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at economic recovery, social inclusion, national security and sustainable development,” he said.
He acknowledged that the ongoing reforms are challenging but necessary for long-term national stability and prosperity.
“The resilience and sacrifices of Nigerians are recognised and deeply valued. The Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to restore confidence and build a nation where progress is shared,” he added.
Yilwatda urged APC members to remain united and disciplined in supporting the government’s programmes and policies, emphasizing that the government is committed to expanding opportunities and protecting the vulnerable.
