Former presidential aide and activist, Reno Omokri has said that that Christmas celebration is a pagan holiday.
Omokri made this know to his followers on his verified Twitter account on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
According to Omokri, Jesus Christ was never on Christmas in the first place.’
His tweet read: “This movement to keep Christ in Christmas is the most deceptive thing I have ever witnessed in religion. Christ was never in Christmas in the first place. Christmas is a pagan holiday. Scripture is clear: ‘Light and darkness cannot mix’-2 Corinthians 6:14.”

The post has however attracted different opinions form his followers as some agree with his opinion while others oppose.
Read some reactions below:
A user, @chukwency is of the opinion that “there is absolutely nothing wrong in choosing a day to celebrate D birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.. He came into this world 1 day,and Christians are grateful for that faithful day. Christmas is all abt celebrating D comin of our saviour. Does the bible condemn celebrating of birthday?”
Meanwhile,@toppysteve agrees with the activist. He said: “You are very correct sir. They are actually celebrating “Saturnalia”, Christ has nothing to do with it. The inventors of “Christmas” claimed to use it as a missionary strategy to woo those idol worshippers but it’s really a very bad idea, factually and scripturally.”
No day on earth belongs to darkness, if Christians decided to celebrate Christ birth on 25/12 so be it. Jesus Christ said what two or more agreed in my name shall be established. So @renoomokri u are very wrong on this!!!

Yes, u are right sir.
still don’t understand why most Christians tie pagan holiday as a Christmas and birth of Jesus Christ— Akinyemi OluwaTosin ATM (@ATM9807) December 16, 2020
December 25 is a day like every other day, it does not belong to a pagan god. I have been waiting to read what makes worshipping Christ on that date makes it pagan.

Paul said something, let no man judge you in day or season, let him him that eat not judge not him that eat, truly Christmas is not biblical, but whoever want to do should do it in the name of the Lord.
