Actor-turned-preacher, Woli Arole, has called on Christians to stop chasing wealth as their main goal in life, saying Jesus Christ did not die for people to become rich.

In a post on his Instagram page, Woli Arole expressed concern about how talk of money and the love of riches are now taking over churches. He warned that this growing focus on wealth is dangerous for the Christian faith.

“I say this as God’s prophet: Mammon is already creaking into the church, the talk of money, the worship of money,” he wrote. “Christ did not die so we could become rich; He died so we could have eternal life. Wake up, oh saints. Share this message!!”

Woli Arole, who first became popular as a comedian, is now known for preaching and giving prophecies on social media. He often uses his platform to speak out against what he sees as wrong behaviours among Christians and young people.

In past posts, he advised Christians who always complain about the reality TV show *Big Brother Naija* to stop criticizing it. Instead, he said they should start their own reality shows, pointing out that there are many wealthy Christians who can make it happen.

He also warned Christians to avoid judging others harshly. “You don’t have the right to say how good or bad a person is,” he once said.

In one of his yearly prophecies, Woli Arole said that the year would bring disgrace to side chicks and to men who cheat on their wives with younger women. He told people to repent and live right.

Last year, he gave a strong warning to young women, telling them to stay away from sugar daddies, internet fraudsters, and sexual immorality. He said many destinies were being destroyed because of the desire for sex and money.

“Our young ladies need to understand that their destinies are more than sex and money,” he said.

In another serious post, he raised the alarm about what he called a “blood-sucking demon” near Otedola Bridge in Lagos. He said life is spiritual and warned people to be careful in that area.
