Celebrity couples, Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite have ended their two-year marriage.

After months of speculation and denials that trailed the marriage of the Tinsel actors, Chris Attoh finally revealed the true state of things in an interview with Bellanaija.

The Ghanian actor who got married on February 14, 2015, said he had learned to balance his work, the relationship between his ex-wife, Adegbite, their two-year-old son and their careers.

“I believe throughout our marriage, it has probably been one of the most challenging things we have ever done, however, the key word is balance. ”

However, Attoh said despite their divorce they remain friends and his ex-wife is an amazing woman and mother, adding that their families were very supportive.

” At times when we both had to work, our parents would be there to hold the fort. God bless family because they were and still are very supportive.

“However, since the divorce, we are obviously now reworking things to create a new balance between work, spending time with and raising our son.

“Dami is a wonderful woman and an amazing mother. Despite our differences, she and I will always be friends. So more than anything we will find ways to continue to make sure that Brian can still have a balanced upbringing filled with love and support.

“Both our families have been and are still very supportive in helping us take care of our son Brian when we can’t be there due to work.

Attoh also spoke about playing Ireti Doyle’s love interest on screen (Fifty). The 38-year-old said Doyle is an incredible actress and working with her gives him the opportunity to also learn.

When asked about his “The Kindness foundation, Attoh said he was not one to talk about his pet project as it defeats the purpose.

He said “Well, we are in the centre of a project right now… However, the point of this is to contribute what you have big or little to make someone else’s life better. I’ll give you an example.

“I’ve had to consciously smile a lot, you would be amazed how much a smile can change another’s fate. It’s my motto to do one kind act a day from financial contributions to physical acts. And I endeavour to meet the goal daily as an individual and through our foundation.”
