I’m still the most handsome actor alive– Chiwetalu Agu declares

Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has paid a touching tribute to his late colleague and friend, Tom Njemanze, who recently passed away after battling prostate cancer.

Agu spoke with emotion about Njemanze’s impact on the Nigerian film industry, describing him as an inspiration and a unique talent whose contributions will not be forgotten.

In a video message, Agu said, “Rest in peace, Tom Njemanze. I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of my friend and colleague in the industry. Tom Njemanze, you were more than just a colleague; you were a source of inspiration to so many.

Nollywood has lost a rare gem, but your legacy will continue to live on in the stories you told, through the roles you brought to life and the memories we shared. May your soul find eternal rest, and may God grant your families and loved ones the fortitude to bear their loss. Sleep well, Tom. God loves you more.”

The late actor, known for his memorable roles in Nollywood classics, was confirmed dead on Friday. Filmmaker Stanley Ontop announced the news, noting that Njemanze’s career left an indelible mark on the industry.
