Self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has alleged that the bride price of Davido’s fiancée, Chioma Avril, has been refunded.
According to Olunloyo, Chioma’s family refunded their daughter’s bride price to Davido and his family, leaving him with no right to claim his son, according to Igbo traditions.
This is coming after the popular Nigerian singer was spotted locking lips with his rumored new lover, Mya Yafaii at a party recently.
Kemi Olunloyo in a recent Instagram post alleged that Chioma’s bride price has been handed back to Davido and his family.
According to Kemi this act automatically makes Davido’s son with Chioma, Ifeanyi the last born of Chioma‘s family according to the Igbo tradition of a child born out of wedlock.
In Kemi’s words,
“Chioma’s bride price has been refunded. You can now stop fasting and praying for David.”

WuzupNigeria recalled that Davido and Chioma welcomed their first son in 2019. The pair have been engaged since 2019 and in a chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio Live, Davido talked about their wedding plans.
The couple had fixed their wedding for July 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had to postpone their big day.
Speaking on how coronavirus messed up his wedding plan, Davido said,
“Honestly, corona messed plans up because it was meant to be in July. I have decided probably sometime next year. For now, I want her to work on her business while I work on my album and the kids. I want everything to balance first.”
