Chioma consoles Davido after Grammy loss

Nigerian music star Davido has responded with grace after losing the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards to South African singer Tyla.

Following the announcement, Davido shared loved-up photos with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, on Instagram with a light-hearted caption.

He wrote: “I said baby listen we lost again let’s not go! She said, ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’, we outside.”

The post highlighted Chioma’s supportive role, with fans praising her calming influence. In a separate post, Chioma shared a heartfelt message to her husband, writing, “You already know that you’re the perfect one 🏆❤️ @davido.”

Davido replied in the comments, “Love you iya ibeji 🥰.”

Despite being a strong contender, Davido’s loss to Tyla sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing disappointment while others commended his sportsmanship.

The 68th Grammy Awards were held on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Davido attended with his wife and crew, but Tyla claimed the award for the second time, leading to debates among fans about the outcome.
