Chinese Foreign Minister H.E. Wang Yi, on Thursday, departed Abuja, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.

This was made known in the pictures shared on the Twitter handle of Nigeria MFA ‏@MFA_Nigeria some hours ago.

The Chinese Foreign Minister during his visit discussed among other national issues ways to strengthen infrastructural development in the country.

President Buhari during the meeting reiterated his administration’s commitment on  infrastructural development like rail, road, power and skill acquisition for Nigerians.

Recall that President Buhari had visited China in April, last year, as guest of President Xi Jinping, and other two countries where he signed memoranda of understanding on projects, running into several billion of dollars.

Some of those due for implementation now include railway projects, the Keffi Expressway, among others, while the sum of 100 million yuan would be released for agriculture demonstration centers.

The Chinese Minister described President Buhari’s visit to China last year as “very successful,” adding that President Xi Jinping looked forward to greater collaboration between the two countries.
