European Champions, Chelsea, defeated their London rival, Tottenham 3-0, to go top of the Premier League summit.

Thomas Tuchel’s side painted London Blue to claim the bragging right against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

After almost an hour without a goal, Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva, broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a towering header off a Marcus Alonso corner kick.

Hugo Lloris was beaten again in the 57th minute after N’Golo Kanté fired home Chelsea’s second goal from 25 yards out, taking a wicked deflection off Dier to trick the French goalie.

Antonio Rudiger made it 3-0 (90+2′) as the Blues cruised to their fourth win in five matches.

As a result of the 1-1 draw at Anfield, Chelsea go top of the table on head to head advantage over Liverpool who have the same points and goal difference as the Blues.

Manchester United are third with the same points (13) but with two goals lesser than Chelsea and Liverpool.

Chelsea have won each of their last six away league London derbies – their longest such streak in their league history.

Tottenham have lost consecutive Premier League games without scoring a single goal for the first time since February 2021, when the second game in that run also came at the hands of Chelsea.
