Less than a month before the new season of English Premier League begins, Arsenal have signed Bolton defender Rob Holding.
Though reports say the defender sign on fee was not disclosed, the 20-year-old has penned a long-term contract.
Holding made 30 appearances at Bolton last season and won the club’s player of the season award.
He then helped England Under-21s win the Toulon tournament.
The rugged defender will have to challenge for a place in Arsenal’s back four in the coming season.
He is a versatile player who can perform as a centre-back or full-back.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, Holding said: “It’s something you dream of as a kid – I can’t wait to get started.”
