Maverick entertainer and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has revealed he is on a mission to find a wife for his 46-year-old son.
In a post shared on X on Friday, Charly Boy listed the qualities he is seeking in a prospective bride, making it clear that only serious and qualified women should apply.
He wrote: “My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman. Biko, if you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me. He is coming next month.
“He is a masters degree holder, age 46. 5ft 11ins. Very humble. If you’re not an authentic graduate don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria.”
The singer disclosed that his son, who holds a master’s degree and is 5ft 11ins tall, was once married but is now divorced and hesitant about relationships. He stressed that he is looking for a woman “from a good home with humble beginnings” and insisted that “only authentic graduates” should apply.
Charly Boy further explained that his son will be returning to Nigeria next month, and he intends to “tie him to Nigeria” through marriage.
The entertainer, known for his outspoken lifestyle, has been married to his wife, Diane, for more than 40 years. Before her, he was married multiple times, making his current marriage his fourth or fifth. Despite this, he has often spoken openly about having what he describes as “executive side chicks.”
