Character is higher than degree, skills, Reno Omokri says
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Saturday opined that having good character is better than owning a degree or having a skill.
Omokri made this known to his 878K followers on Twitter on Saturday night.
According to the rights activist, an employee with good character will keep his job above those with good degrees and skills if a company is downsizing.
“When an office wants to downsize, the first to go are those with good degrees, but not the best silks or character. Next are those with good skills, but not the best character. Amongst degrees, skill and character, character is highest. Ensure you have it.”

A follower, Ifeanyi Victor -@anyigod1979, disagreed with his opinion by saying “Oga Reno, I beg to disagree w/u on this. In Nigeria, when a company wants to downsize, they look first and foremost to which of the staff came in through which Director, ED, Chairman and the likes….”
However, @EsprinEsprin replied buttressing Omokri’s point, he said: “My boss just said this today when he sacked my two colleagues. I quote ” See let me tell you people, when a company wants to downsize, the first to go are those with bad records. Thank you sir @renoomokri for confirming this. My boss is the best.”
