Sudan’s head coach Kwesi Appiah says his players will not be intimidated when they face Nigeria in their next game at the 2024 African Nations Championship.

The Falcons were close to winning their first match against Congo Brazzaville but conceded a late goal, ending the game in a draw. Nigeria, on the other hand, lost their opener 1-0 to defending champions Senegal.

Both teams now need a strong result to keep their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals alive.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Appiah acknowledged Nigeria’s football reputation but insisted his side will be ready for the challenge.

“Nigeria is one of the biggest nations in African football and we respect them, but we won’t fear them,” he said.
