Some Nigerian celebrities who are known to always storm social circles with Forbes-celebrated Nigerian young entrepreneur, Obinwanne Okeke popularly known as Invictus Obi, have been silent since reports of his arrest emerged on the internet.

Viral reports on Friday say Invictus Obi is being charged with conspiracy to commit computer fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and he was allegedly arrested during a visit to the US by the FBI.

During one of his birthday parties, Banky W, Wizkid and other singers were seen celebrating with Obi and his arrest by FBI have fuelled speculations that Wizkid may have deleted all his Instagram posts over the scandal to clear off any link with Obi.

WuzupNigeria reports that Wizkid deleted all his IG posts on Thursday without giving any reason for doing so.

As Nigerians take to Twitter to react to Obi’s arrest, some Nigerians also condemned the alleged fraudulent act of the entrepreneur, while others called on the Nigerian security agencies to learn from the FBI.

Many have also called out the celebrities for their silence. Citing the case of Naira Marley with the EFCC, social media users claimed the celebrities would have taken to social media to vent their anger and call for his release if he was arrested by local security agencies.

Some also argued that the celebrities are being careful not to soil their names because of the gravity of the allegations levelled against him by the FBI which may hinder some of them from entering the US.

Popular fashion blog Bella Naija has also reportedly deleted a 2018 post where it celebrated Obi as its ‘Man Crush Monday’ (MCM).
