Catholic Priest in Benue dies of Covid-19
A Catholic Priest has died after contracting the deadly coronavirus (Covid-19).
It was gathered that the man of God died at the Benue state teaching hospital today January 18.
The deputy governor of the state and chairman of the state’s action committee on COVID19, Benson Abounu, disclosed this while addressing newsmen in the state today, January 18.
”In the last one week, we have recorded a mortality at the Federal Medical Center in Makurdi, everyday we recorded a mortality, including this morning. A Reverend Father passed on this morning.
The other time, within five days we lost four prominent Benue people. so this variant is not one that anybody should joke with.
As much as possible, avoid going into any gathering of any nature for now. It is only if it is a must. The best treatment for COVID19 is prevention.”he said
Benue state has 657 confirmed cases of the viral disease.
