American rapper Cardi B has welcomed a new baby with her boyfriend, NFL star Steffon Diggs, even as her divorce case with her estranged husband, Offset, is still ongoing.
She announced the baby’s arrival on Instagram on Friday, saying she is entering a new phase of her life.
She wrote, Starting over is never easy but it has been worth it. I brought a new album to the world. A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me. One more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else, so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. Offset later asked for joint custody of their three kids and also requested that Cardi’s home be named their primary residence. In May 2025, he added a request for spousal support as part of the settlement.
Cardi, 33, confirmed this is her first child with Diggs and said she is ready to step into a new chapter.
She wrote, My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it has been so worth it.
She added, I brought new music and a new album to the world. A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me. One more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve. This next chapter is Me vs Me. It is me against all odds, me against everything meant to get in my way.
The rapper already has three children with Offset: Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 14 months.
Cardi also said she has begun preparing for her Little Miss Drama Tour set to begin in February.
She said, I have started prepping for tour, getting my body right, getting my mind right. There is nothing that will stop me from giving you the performance of a lifetime. I have learned, I have healed, and I am loving the woman I have become. That is what this next era means to me and I am stepping into it better than ever.
Her rep told People magazine that Cardi is healthy and happy.
Diggs earlier said they were expecting a boy, adding, I cannot wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.
Sources told TMZ that Cardi gave birth last week and Diggs was by her side when their son arrived.
