The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Mrs Haleemat Busari, did manual voting during the ongoing election due to the failure of the card reader to recognise her voter card.
Busari voted at Adekunle polling unit Ward B at about 11:13am.
The candidate, who was accompanied by her husband, Tunde Busari (SAN), also did manual voting as the card reader equally failed to read his card.
Speaking with journalists after voting, Mrs Busari said the exercise had been peaceful and that she hoped more people would come out to vote.
Her husband, who also spoke to journalists, said the exercise would have been hitch-free but for the card reader that malfunctioned.
