Carabao Cup semi-final fixtures confirmed

Liverpool is set to face Fulham, while Chelsea will take on Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-finals following decisive quarter-final clashes. 

Jurgen Klopp’s team secured a spot in the last four with a resounding 5-1 victory over West Ham, while Fulham advanced through a penalty shootout at Everton. 

Chelsea also triumphed in a penalty shootout against Newcastle, and Middlesbrough secured a 3-0 win at Port Vale, setting up a semi-final rematch of the 1998 final.

The two-legged ties are scheduled to take place in the weeks commencing January 8 and 22. 

Liverpool, eyeing their 14th final appearance, seeks a 10th Carabao Cup triumph, with their first victory dating back to 1981. Fulham, managed by Marco Silva, makes their semi-final debut, traveling to Anfield for the first leg. 

Chelsea, aiming for a sixth Carabao Cup title, faces Championship side Middlesbrough, who last reached the semi-finals in 2004 when they went on to win the competition.

The final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 25.
