Liverpool is set to face Fulham, while Chelsea will take on Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-finals following decisive quarter-final clashes.

Jurgen Klopp’s team secured a spot in the last four with a resounding 5-1 victory over West Ham, while Fulham advanced through a penalty shootout at Everton.

Chelsea also triumphed in a penalty shootout against Newcastle, and Middlesbrough secured a 3-0 win at Port Vale, setting up a semi-final rematch of the 1998 final.

The two-legged ties are scheduled to take place in the weeks commencing January 8 and 22.

Chelsea, aiming for a sixth Carabao Cup title, faces Championship side Middlesbrough, who last reached the semi-finals in 2004 when they went on to win the competition.

The final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, February 25.
