Car crash claims life of groom-to-be on wedding eve

A groom-to-be and his best man lost their lives in a car crash on the eve of their wedding in Ibadan, Oyo state.

The 34-year-old groom, identified as Bosun, had been eagerly awaiting his wedding day, but fate had other plans.

The tragic accident occurred on Idi-Ape Road as Bosun and his best man were returning from his bachelor’s eve party.

Two other individuals, who were friends of the groom, also lost their lives in the devastating auto crash.

Reports indicate that the accident happened around 11 p.m. when their vehicles collided with a trailer that was offloading cement.

The groom was driving an Highlander SUV, while his best man was following closely in a Toyota Camry.

Bosun, who was a dedicated employee of a multinational company in Nigeria, had his wedding scheduled for the following day, September 30. However, the accident claimed his life on Friday, September 29.

The groom’s body has been entrusted to Molly Hospital in Ibadan. The police may conduct an investigation into the tragic incident.

A close friend of the deceased, Sesan, expressed his grief on Facebook, saying, “This is too sad to bear. Rest in peace, Bosun.”

The devastating loss of the groom-to-be and his best man has left their families and friends in mourning on what should have been a joyous occasion.
