CAF cancels Player of The Year Award ceremony
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has decided to go the way of UEFA by cancelling this year’s Player of The Year Award ceremony.
CAF on Thursday during a virtual conference meeting decided to stop the award this year citing the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.
This is coming few months after UEFA decided to cancel the 2020 award ceremony due to outbreak of Coronavirus that disrupted the football season across Europe.
Just like football had been halted across the European continent both at international and consider level.
Egyptian and Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah won the last award beating club mate and Senegalese international Sadio Mane and Arsenal star Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
