Business mogul Adekunle Ojora dies at 93

The Lagos Royal Family has announced the passing of prominent businessman and high chief, Olori-ebi HRH Otunba (Dr) Adekunle Ojora OFR, CON, JP.

According to a family statement, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife “joined his ancestors in the early hours of Wednesday 28th January, 2026.” He was 93 years old.

Otunba Ojora, born on June 13, 1932, held several prestigious traditional titles, including Chief Olori Omoba of Lagos, Head of the Ojora Royal Family, and Head of the Aiyeomosan Chieftaincy Family of Lagos.

A distinguished corporate titan, his career spanned journalism, business, and public service. He was widely recognized for his influential investments and leadership roles that helped shape Nigeria’s oil, shipping, and finance industries.

The family stated that burial arrangements will be announced shortly. They also shared his Oriki (praise poetry), honoring his lineage and legacy.
