Nigerian music star Burna Boy will headline the halftime show at the NFL’s first regular-season game in France. This marks another major international stage for the Grammy-winning singer.
According to the NFL, Burna Boy will perform when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints at Stade de France in Paris on 25 October 2026. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CEST.
“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” Burna Boy said.
He added that the NFL’s arrival in France presented another opportunity to represent African music on a global platform. Burna Boy also promised fans “a show they will not forget.”
Burna Boy returns to Stade de France
The performance will take Burna Boy back to the Stade de France. In April 2025, he became the first African artiste to headline a concert at the venue.
NFL senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, Tim Tubito, said the league wanted an artiste capable of matching the significance of its first regular-season game in France.
“The first NFL game in France deserves a halftime moment that matches the occasion, and there is no artist better suited to it than Burna Boy,” Tubito said.
He noted Burna Boy’s previous history at the stadium and the influence of African music in Paris. In addition, the league expects the performance to capture the energy surrounding the historic game.
The Paris show is part of a record seven halftime performances planned for the NFL’s 2026 International Games. These performances will take place across seven countries and four continents.
Other artistes already announced include Ayra Starr for the London Game, Ricky Martin and Pedro Sampaio in Rio de Janeiro. Cage The Elephant will perform in Munich and The Warning will perform in Mexico City.
