Bayern Munich and Poland striker, Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick on Saturday as Bayern Munich thumped Stuttgart 4-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Serge Gnabry completed the scoring to keep the league leaders four points clear at the top, leaving RB Leipzig second on the log.

The Bavarians finished the game with 10 men after left-back Alphonso Davies was sent off in the 12th minute.

The Poland striker has now scored 42 times for Bayern this season.

Lewandowski’s hat-trick to his season’s tally to 35 in the league leaving him just five short of Gerd Mueller’s all-time Bundesliga record of 40, set in 1971/72.

Bayern will have Davies and Jerome Boateng both suspended for their April 3 showdown at Leipzig after the latter picked up a first-half yellow card, his fifth this season.
