Bukunmi Oluwasina bags best lead actress at Yoruba Movie Gist Awards

Nollywood actress and mother of one, Bunkunmi Oluwasina has won the Best Lead Actress in A Movie at the 2021 Yoruba Movie Gist Awards.

The screen diva on her Instagram page announced her latest achievement to her fans and followers.

She also expressed her appreciation to everyone who had voted for her and to the organisers of the award ceremony.

Sharing a photo of her award plaque, the actress said she would like to dedicate it to her late father whom she hoped would be happy.

Bukunmi Oluwasina is a native of Oke-Imesi, Ekiti State.

She graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University, where she studied Theatre Arts.

According to her, she shot the movie while she was still studying at the Obafemi Awolowo University.

Her debut movie, ‘Ayomi’, won many awards and got a number of nominations, including the 2015 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards in the Best Indigenous Movie (Yoruba) category, the Best of Nollywood Awards, MAYA Awards, and ACI Awards.
