A former Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Aisha Abubakar, has reportedly lost her first son, Aliyu Abubakar, in a road accident.
The deceased’s three siblings who were also co-passengers when the the crash occurred are currently on admission in an undisclosed hospitalised.
Reacting to the news of her loss, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) sympathised with the former minister.
Buhari’s condolence message was contained in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled, ‘President Buhari mourns, as ex-minister Aisha loses eldest son.’
The president message was delivered to both the father of the deceased, Kabiru Mukhtar and the former minister.
While describing the death of the young Aliyu as extremely sad, Buhari prayed for a quick recovery for the two brothers and sister of the deceased, who are currently on admission in hospital.
The statement by his media team partly read, “The President prayed for quick recovery for two brothers and sister of the deceased, who are currently on admission in hospital following a road accident that claimed the life of the deceased.
“He urged doctors, nurses and other health workers to do their best for other victims of the accident under their care.”
