Buhari destroyed ladder of democracy after deceiving Nigerians – Omokri
A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has accused the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of breaking the ladder of democracy.
The rights activist’s comments come as a reaction to the arrest of #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters who were protesting against the reopening of the Lekki Toll Gate.
In a statement released on his verified Twitter handle, Omokri said that the president deceived Nigerians after Jonathan allowed him to protest freely in 2014.
“Former President @GEJonathan allowed General @MBuhari protest without arresting him or his fellow protesters. Now, after deceiving Nigerians, he climbed up the ladder of freedom and democracy and destroyed the ladder. We must #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria and #OccupyLekkiTollGate”
