Former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has offered his support to Senator Abdul Ningi, reassuring him that he is not alone in his battle.
Senator Ningi, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, was recently suspended from the Senate for three months following his allegation of budget padding.
Speaking after visiting the suspended lawmaker, Atiku emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity of government institutions for the betterment of Nigerians and the achievement of development goals.
In a post on social media platform X, Atiku wrote, “During a solidarity visit to Sen. Abdul Ningi, @Sen_AbdulNingi, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, I stressed the importance of preserving the integrity of government institutions if the interests of Nigerians are to be better served and the envisaged development attained.”
Furthermore, Atiku assured Senator Ningi of his support in the battle that led to his suspension from the Senate, stating, “I assured Sen. Ningi that he is not alone in the battle that earned him a suspension in the Senate. -AA”
