British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following allegations involving five women.
According to Reuters, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges against the 50-year-old after evidence was submitted for review. This evidence had been gathered during a Metropolitan Police investigation.
Clarke faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.
Police said the alleged offences took place between 2007 and 2016.
Clarke due in court
The Metropolitan Police said its investigation began in September 2025. At that time, a man then in his 40s was arrested in connection with the allegations.
A file of evidence was later submitted to prosecutors, who authorised the charges against Clarke on Wednesday.
He is expected to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on October 21.
The Crown Prosecution Service said there was sufficient evidence to bring the case before a court. They also reminded the public that Clarke is entitled to a fair trial.
Women receiving specialist support
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the women connected to the charges are continuing to receive support from specially trained officers.
Police also encouraged anyone who has experienced sexual assault to come forward. They assured potential complainants that information would be treated sensitively.
Clarke is widely known for writing and starring in the 2006 film “Kidulthood”. He is also known for his recurring role in the BBC science-fiction series “Doctor Who.”
Earlier allegations of sexual misconduct against the actor emerged publicly in 2021. Clarke denied those allegations at the time.
The latest charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
