USA beat host France, 2-1, on Friday night in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup to progress into the semi-finals.
Megan Rapinoe’s brace in the 5th and 65th minute of the game gave the Americans a confident lead before Wendie Renard headed home in the 81st minute to score for France.
USA will play England in the tournament’s first semifinal on Tuesday in Lyon.
