Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force are reportedly firing gunshots and teargas to disperse members of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), otherwise known as Shiites, during their protest in Abuja, on Friday.
The police are said to be shooting in the air to disperse the Shiite members who were marching through the Sultan Abubakar Way at Wuse, Abuja, on Friday.
A member of the IMN shared a photo of the incident via her Twitter handle @mustyy09.
@mustyy09 tweeted:
