AT LAST: Nigeria beat Honduras to win Rio 2016 bronze

Nigeria eventually got a medal from the Rio 2016 Olympic. 

The men’s football team beat Honduras 3-2 to win a Bronze medal.

The first goal of the match came late in the first half when Sadiq Umar converted Mikel Obi’s low cross from the right.

The Dream Team VI got another one through Aminu Umar’s judicious use of a rebound in the 49th minute to increase the tally to two.

Sadiq Umar got a second one to make it three in the 56th minute from Mikel Obi’s pass in the box.

Anthony Lozanomade got the first reply for Honduras in the 71st minute, while Marcelo Pereira slotted in another one in the 86th minute to give Nigeria a scare.
