English Premier League champions Manchester City claimed a historic domestic treble after thrashing Watford 6-0 in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
Pep Guardiola’s City have already won the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
They became the first men’s team to win the English domestic treble with the FA Cup victory.
No men’s team has won all three major domestic competitions in one season in England before except Arsenal Women who won the domestic treble in the past.
City clinched the league last week, finishing one point ahead of runners-up Liverpool, they also beat Chelsea on penalties in the Carabao Cup final in February and finally sealed their season with the FA Cup.
Raheem Sterling was the star of the match as he made history scoring the first FA Cup final hat-trick since 1953, while David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus shared one goal each in the six-goal thriller.
It was City’s sixth FA Cup triumph and their first under Guardiola, who has now won six trophies since taking over at Etihad Stadium in 2016.
