Reports filtering in from Maiduguri inform that heavy explosions were heard in Maiduguri, Born State capital at about 7:55pm Nigerian time on Monday.
But when WuzupNaija contacted the Nigerian army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, to verify the information, he said that “there is no cause for alarm” that the explosions were from “own troops”.
