Everton put up a spirited display to end Arsenal’s incredible run of form in the English Premier League this season.
After the opening day loss to Liverpool, the Arsene Wenger-tutored team have not lost a single match in the league, with impressive wins against Chelsea and West Ham some of the highlights of the streak.
But after coming from a goal down on Tuesday night, Everton condemned the Emirates team to only their second loss in the league this season.
Sanchez scored a brilliant free-kick which deflected off Ashley Williams and beat Marteen Sketelenberg, but Seamus Coleman equalized with a beautiful header before the break.
The second half was pretty much within the grasp of the home team and they deservedly got a win after Williams turned from villain to hero, scoring his side’s winner.
