The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is currently holding a meeting with Senate President Ahmad Lawal and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The President is meeting with the lawmakers concerning the ongoing EndSARS protests.
This was disclosed by Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad.
“President @MBuhari currently meeting with Senate President, @DrAhmadLawan and Speaker, @femigbaja on the ongoing #EndPoliceBrutality protests,” he tweeted.
The protests which is fast spreading across Nigeria is in demand for an end to police brutality and bad governance.
Their activities have seen the disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, which was a unit in the Nigeria Police Force.
