BREAKING: Adama Barrow sworn in as The Gambia president
The Gambia’s President-elect Adama Barrow has taken the oath of office at his country’s embassy in neighbouring Senegal.
The ceremony was administered by Sheriff Tambadou, president of the Gambian Bar Association.
“This is a victory of the Gambian nation. Our national flag will fly high among those of the most democratic nations of the world,” tweeted on the official Twitter handle of President Barrow.
President Barrow is now the third president of the Republic of Gambia.
