Nigerian rapper Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has triggered widespread reactions online after describing breakfast as a “scam” while speaking about his recent weight loss and lifestyle change.

The award-winning artiste made the comments while opening up about how he transformed his health ahead of his next music project.

“Anybody eating breakfast right now is a princess,” Ice Prince said during the conversation.

The rapper explained that the decision to change his body and routine was deliberate and linked to his career and image. He said discussions with his management team pushed him to take his health more seriously.

“Dammy DAPA and Chopsticks told me we needed a new look for the next project. They said I should lose the belly, grow the beard, and something about it just sank in. That very day, I started my weight-loss journey,” he said.

According to him, the conversation marked a turning point that led to a complete change in his diet, exercise habits and daily routine.

Ice Prince said he began to see food differently and focused on eating only what he believed would benefit his body.

“Everything that goes into your mouth should be medicine. It should play a role in your body,” he said.

He added that he adopted intermittent fasting and limited himself to one meal a day.

“I started watching what I eat. I started intermittent fasting, eating once a day, making ginger tea with turmeric, cloves and lemon,” he said.

The rapper also revealed that he completely removed sugar, alcohol and breakfast from his lifestyle while adding daily physical activity.

“I stopped drinking sugar, stopped alcohol. I walk every evening when I’m in Lagos and jog every morning by 5 a.m. I even cut off breakfast. Anybody eating breakfast right now is a princess. It’s a scam,” he said.

His comments quickly spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions from fans, health experts and fellow Nigerians.

Androidotai commented, “This is how wrong information is popularised on social media. I eat breakfast daily and don’t have a big tummy. Eat whole meals and avoid soda. I’m a food scientist.”

Boxypiper commented, “He’s about to drop his album. Na so dem dey move.”

Xvmmusik commented, “Me happily eating bole at 6:15 this morning.”

Exdotcome commented, “Say you no chop breakfast for morning no mean say you no fit chop am for relationships.”

Others urged caution, noting that weight loss works differently for individuals.
