Borno: Two soldiers killed as Army repels ISWAP attack on military base

No fewer than two soldiers were killed during a face off with members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province as troops of the Nigerian Army repelled an attack on Forward Operating Base, Gajiram Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Sunday, said the terrorists, who came with gun trucks, had attempted to gain access to the base, but were repelled by the troops.
