Bobrisky reportedly arrested by EFCC over abuse of naira

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has allegedly apprehended Controversial Nigerian figure Bobrisky on charges related to the abuse of the naira.

According to reports, Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, was arrested at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. The arrest is said to be connected to an incident involving the misuse of the naira currency during a movie premiere.

The news of Bobrisky’s arrest emerged shortly after calls were made by an individual known as Verydarkman urging the Nigerian police to take action against the crossdresser.

Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi shared an update on social media, stating, “According to reports, Bobrisky was arrested by @officialefcc Wednesday afternoon and he spent the night in their Cell.”

Reports suggest that Bobrisky was taken into custody around 3:00 pm on Wednesday, with sources confirming that he spent the night in the EFCC’s cell.
