Popular Nigerian media personality, Okuneye Idris, widely known as Bobrisky, has reacted after Lagos-based TikTok star and livestreamer, Hamzat Habeeb, also called Peller, was hospitalised following a car crash during a live broadcast.

Wuzup Nigeria learnt that Peller was livestreaming a video titled “RIP Peller,” which later spread widely on social media.

Peller was reportedly alone in his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz when the incident occurred. During the livestream, he appeared emotionally distressed while speaking on the phone, believed to be with his girlfriend, Jarvis, amid reports of a breakup.

In the video, Peller made alarming statements before the crash.

“I will use this car and have an accident right now,” he said.

He later added, “I’m scared. I’m scared.”

In another moment that shocked viewers, he was heard saying, “If you leave me, people will mock me… Thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”

The livestream showed him driving off before crashing into a stone barrier, leaving the vehicle badly damaged. Another video shared online captured bystanders rushing to help him before he was taken to a hospital. His current medical condition has not been officially confirmed.

Reacting to the incident, Bobrisky took to social media to warn against losing oneself in relationships.

“Pls stop falling in love with wrong people. It’s normal to fall in love with ur man or woman but don’t forget to love urself first incase the man or woman want to try rubbish with you dump him like he never exist,” Bobrisky wrote.

He also addressed Peller directly in a strongly worded message, saying, “Peller, I’m coming to Nigeria to slap that your small face. You want to kpai yourself because of Javis? Egbami!!!!”

Bobrisky further expressed shock over the damaged car, adding, “You crazed that new car because of Javis? Peller, I have a pretty girl that’s way prettier than Javis now. She should be in her 23 years or so. Her father is so rich.”

The incident has drawn massive reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for better attention to mental health and emotional well-being, especially among young content creators.
